As you know, climate change is becoming more and more serious and how to control CO₂ efficiently is a big challenge for the world. To realize Paris climate agreement, the exchange and cooperation in area of CO₂ emission control between scientist and industry will highlight the future of the world. So we want to hold the 6^th International Conference on CO₂ Emission Control Science and Technology next year during Autumn in Hangzhou, P.R. China, based on our successful 1^st to 5^th US-China Symposium on CO₂ Emission Control Science and Technology from 2005 to 2016.  This time we want to expand the series conference to International Conference on CO₂ Emission Control Science and Technology.

We want to invite researchers, engineers and officials who are interested in CO₂ emission control issues to participate this conference and to give presentations on technology and policy topics.

The conference will focus on following topics:

Topic 1:  CO₂ capture

Focus on post-combustion, pre-combustion, oxy-fuel combustion, and chemical looping, and other advanced technologies

Topic 2:  CO₂ utilization

Focus on use of CO₂ for EOR, ECBM, and geological storage, including CO₂ use for chemical production, algae cultivation, and other advanced technologies

Topic3:  CO2 storage

Focus on CCUS demonstration project operation and experience

Topic 4: Closing the carbon cycle

根据巴黎气候大会中国声明，为继续促进深化国际社会在CO₂控制减排领域的合作，并保障我国CCS产业健康快速发展，由浙江大学和哥伦比亚大学共同主办的第六届CO₂排放控制与利用国际会议（ICCU）将于2018年6月15-18号在中国杭州举行。本次会议将重点展示CO₂减排、利用领域的最新研究和应用进展以及该领域的技术创新活动，特别是在国家重点研发计划专项资助下有关CCUS领域最新研究进展和成果。届时将有150多位政府部门官员、资深专家、学者和工业界代表出席，其中拟邀请国外著名学者30人，国内代表120人。

会议安排2天，第一天上午为开幕式和大会特邀报告，拟邀请来自美国、丹麦、中国著名专家作大会特邀报告。后面3个半天分四个分会进行：1、CO2捕集技术 2、CO2利用技术 3、CO2埋存技术 4、碳循环技术。
