Combining Simple Measurements and Advanced Modeling to Resolve A Long Standing Problem in Hydrogen/Oxygen Kinetics. (Dr. David Davidson)
As an introduction to shock tube experimental and modeling methods, we will look at pressure and emission diagnostics and chemical kinetics modeling tools and their use in studying low temperature hydrogen/oxygen ignition.

The Use of Shock Tubes and Laser Diagnostics to Study the Chemistry of Toluene, Methyl Esters and Propane. (Dr. David Davidson)
Several examples of shock tube/laser diagnostic studies of high temperature chemical kinetics will be presented: the use of OH laser absorption diagnostics to study toluene, CO2 to study methyl esters, and CH3 to study propane.
