报告题目:Landfill gas to energy - low energy fuels upgrading Abstract: This first lecture will be on investigating the suitability of landfill gas (LFG) as an alternative fuel for a spark ignition (SI) internal combustion (IC) engine, and experimentally determine the effects of carbon dioxide on the engine performance and exhaust emissions. The LFG will be reformed using a precious metal monolith supported catalyst, for a variety of different applications such as synthesis gas for fuel cells, direct heating, or Fischer Tropsch gas to liquids technology without coke formation. It will cover the use of catalytic technology to convert CH4 and CO2 to CO and H2. Particular attention will be given to the combustion performance with the addition of H2 compared to H2 and CO. This type of process is applicable to all syngas generation systems such as gasification, reforming and partial oxidation. 报告时间: 报告地点:热能工程研究所231会议室 附:Marco J.
