Until now, he has won the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award, First Prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Award, First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award (for Theory) of State Education Commission, First Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, Honorable Mention of Academic Monograph Award State Education Commission, Second Prize of National Excellent Teaching Achievement Award and Second Prize of Ministerial Level Excellent Textbook Award.
Professor Fan has been awarded as ¡°Returning Scholar with Prominent Contribution¡± by the State Education Commission and the former Ministry of Personnel (current Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security) of the PRC, and won the first prize of Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation Young College Teacher Award (for research), the award nomination for technical science of the Third Young Scientist Prize, First Prize of Zhejiang Young Talent Award and the Gold Prize of Zhejiang Young Scientist Award. In addition, he was listed in the New Century Ten Million Talent Project and Zhejiang Provincial College and University Young Discipline Leaders.
